Description

For their third album in 1969, the Grateful Dead dispensed with outside producers and made Aoxomoxoa themselves, beginning a long run of self-produced records. Newly equipped with 16-track recording, the band stretched out into deep psychedelic experimentation, and the album marked the first time it featured lyrics written entirely by Robert Hunter. This reissue celebrates the album's 50th anniversary.
