The Monkees – The Monkees (60th Anniversary Deluxe Edition) [LP + CD & DVD] [4Discs]

Description

The Monkees' self-titled debut album, The Monkees (60th Anniversary Deluxe Edition), is back in style. Originally released in October 1966 and hitting #1 on the charts worldwide in the wake of the success of their hit TV series, the album marked a golden age for 1960s pop-rock with its infectious melodies and legendary hits like "Last Train to Clarksville," "Take a Giant Step," and the iconic theme song "(Theme From) The Monkees." To celebrate its 60th anniversary, the album is presented in a sumptuous and extensive special multimedia package in the 1LP + 3CD format, housed in a hardcover vinyl book with new liner notes by Micky Dolenz. The box set includes the original stereo vinyl and 3 CDs containing the album in its original mono version, along with an extraordinary selection of rare and previously unreleased archival material: TV versions, alternate takes, backing tracks, demos, radio spots, and promotional jingles from the era. A monumental collector's item, a must-have to celebrate one of the most impactful phenomena in pop history.

Celebrate the legacy of The Monkees with this 60th Anniversary Deluxe Edition, featuring a collection of their iconic hits. This special release includes 4 discs, combining vinyl, CD, and DVD formats for a comprehensive experience of their music and history.
