Originally released as a 2CD set in 2007, Preludes collects some of the most remarkable recordings discovered after Warren Zevon’s passing in 2003. When his son, Jordan Zevon, uncovered a piano-sized touring case holding 126 unreleased outtakes and demos, the treasure trove was distilled down to the very best performances, creating an intimate portrait of one of rock’s most distinctive songwriters.

The collection features six never-before released songs, along with sixteen unreleased recordings from Zevon’s personal archives, and is rounded out by a five-part 2000 interview with KGSR’s Jody Denberg. For the first time, Preludes is now pressed on black vinyl as a deluxe double LP set, including all of the exclusive bonus tracks. This edition also includes a 20-page perfect bound book of rare photos and notes, packaged in a hardbound slipcase — a definitive archival release for fans and collectors.
